Abu Sa'id Ar-Rafi' bin Al-Mu'alla (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "Shall I teach you the greatest Surah in the Qur'an before you leave the mosque?" Then he (Peace be upon him), took me by the hand, and when we were about to step out, I reminded him of his promise to teach me the greatest Surah in the Qur'an. He (Peace be upon him) said, "It is 'Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil 'Alamin (i.e., Surat Al-Fatihah) which is As-Sab' Al-Mathani (i.e., the seven oft- repeated Ayat) and the Great Qur'an which is given to me."

Râfe" Ibn Al Mou"alla (das) rapporte: «Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) m"a dit: «Veux-tu que je t"apprenne le plus grand chapitre du Coran avant que tu ne sortes de la mosquée?» Il me prit par la main et lorsque nous étions sur le point de sortir, je lui dis: «O Messager de Dieu! Tu m"as dit que tu pouvais m"enseigner le plus grand chapitre dû-Coran». Il dit: «(II s"agit) du premier chapitre («La louange est à Dieu, Seigneur et Maître des univers»). C"est en effet ce chapitre qui est «les sept répétés et le très grand Coran «que Dieu m"a donnés». (Rapporté par Al Boukhàri)

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported about Surat Al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112): The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, it is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'an."

According to another version, he (Peace be upon him) said to his Companions, "Is anyone of you incapable of reciting one-third of the Qur'an in one night?" They considered it burdensome and said: "O Messenger of Allah, which of us can afford to do that?" He (Peace be upon him) said, "Surat Al-Ikhlas [Say: He is Allah (the) One] is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'an."

Selon Abou Sa"id Al Khoudri (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit à propos du chapitre 112 («Dis: «C"est Lui Dieu, seul et unique...»): «Par Celui qui tient mon âme dans Sa Main, ce chapitre équivaut au tiers du Coran». Dans une autre version: «Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) dit à ses Compagnons: «Est-ce que l"un de vous est capable de lire chaque nuit le tiers du Coran?» Ils trouvèrent la chose peu aisée et dirent: «Qui de nous est capable de cela? O Messager de Dieu!» Il dit: «Le chapitre 112 (Dis: «C"est Lui Dieu, seul et unique. Dieu, le recours suprême et efficient...»), représente le tiers du Coran». (Rapporté par Al Boukhâri)

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man heard another reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas repeatedly. The next morning he came to the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) and informed him about it as if he considered it to be of little reward. On that the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, this Surah is equal to one-third of the Qur'an."

Selon lui encore, un homme entendit quelqu"un réciter le chapitre 112 et le répéter. Le lendemain matin il alla trouver le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) et lui rapporta la chose. Cet homme semblait donner peu d"importance à ce court chapitre. Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) lui dit: «Par Celui qui tient mon âme dans Sa Main, ce chapitre équivaut au tiers du Coran». Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "Surat Ikhlas is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'an."

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah! I love Surat-Al-Ikhlas [Say: He is Allah, (the) One]." He (Peace be upon him) said, "Your love for it will admit you to Jannah."

Selon Anas (das), un homme dit: «O Messager de Dieu! J"aime ce chapitre: «Dis: «C"est Lui Dieu, seul et unique...». Il lui dit: «Ton amour pour lui t"a déjà fait entrer au Paradis». (Rapporté par Attirmidhi et Al Boukhâri)

'Uqbah bin 'Amir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said: "Do you not know that last night certain Ayat were revealed the like of which there is no precedence. They are: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Rubb of the daybreak' (Surah 113), and 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Rubb of mankind' (Surah 114)."

Selon "Oqba Ibn "Amr (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «N"as-tu pas vu des versets descendus cette nuit dont on n"a jamais vu de pareils? Ce sont les deux derniers chapitres du Coran (Dis: «Je me mets sous la protection du Maître des aurores qui éclatent...») et (Dis: «Je me mets sous la protection du Maître des Humains...»). Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) used to seek protection against the evil of jinn and the evil eyes till Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas were revealed. After they were revealed, he took to them for seeking Allah's protection and left everything besides them.

[At- Tirmidhi].

Abou Sa"id Al Khoudri (das) a dit: «Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) se mettait sous la protection de Dieu contre le génie et le mauvais œil jusqu"à ce que descendirent les deux derniers chapitres du Coran destinés à protéger contre ces deux fléaux. Lorsque ces deux chapitres furent révélés, il se contenta de les réciter sans prononcer d"autres formules». (Rapporté par Attirmidhi)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) saying, "There is a Surah in the Qur'an which contains thirty Ayat which kept interceding for a man until his sins are forgiven. This Surah is 'Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion.' (Surat Al-Mulk 67)."

[At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud].

Selon Abou Hourayra (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Parmi les chapitres du Coran il en est un de trente versets qui intercéda en faveur d"un homme qu"il sortit ainsi de tous ses péchés. C"est le chapitre 67, «Le royaume». (Rapporté par Abou Dawùd et Attirmdidhi)

Abu Mas'ud Al-Badri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Prophet (Peace be upon him) saying, "He who recites the two Ayat at the end of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him."

Selon Abou Mas"ûd Al Badrî (das), le Prophète (bsdl.) a dit: «Celui qui lit au cours de la nuit les deux derniers versets du chapitre 2 (la Vache) trouve en eux une protection suffisante contre tout mal». Ou: cela le dispensera de veiller toute sa nuit en prière. (ura)
