Hadith 240 - Bab 28 (Covering Faults of the Muslims)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "Allah will cover up on the Day of Resurrection the defects (faults) of the one who covers up the faults of the others in this world".

Selon Abou Hourayra (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Il n"est personne qui couvre les défauts de son prochain dans ce bas monde dont Dieu ne lui couvre les siens le jour de la résurrection». (Rapporté par Moslem)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "Every one of my followers will be forgiven except those who expose (openly) their wrongdoings. An example of this is that of a man who commits a sin at night which Allah has covered for him, and in the morning, he would say (to people): "I committed such and such sin last night,' while Allah had kept it a secret. During the night Allah has covered it up but in the morning he tears up the cover provided by Allah Himself."

Il a dit encore: «J"ai entendu le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) dire: «Toute ma communauté peut prétendre à la clémence de Dieu sauf ceux qui étalent leurs péchés au grand jour. Or c"est étaler ses péchés que de faire la nuit quelque chose  que Dieu lui couvre le lendemain matin et de dire: «O untel! J"ai fait hier telle ou telle chose». Son Seigneur l"avait pourtant couvert toute la nuit et, le matin, il dévoile lui-même ce que Dieu a caché». (ura)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "When a slave-girl commits fornication and this fact of fornication has become evident, she must be given the penalty of (fifty) lashes without hurling reproaches at her; if she does it again, she must be given the penalty but she should not be rebuked. If she does it for the third time, he should sell her, even for a rope woven from hair (i.e., something worthless)".

Toujours selon lui, le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Quand la femme esclave commet l"adultère et que cela est prouvé, que son maître lui donne les cinquante coups de fouet réglementaires sans pourtant l"admonester (lui faire des reproches). Quand elle commet l"adultère pour la deuxième fois, qu"il lui donne les cinquante coups de fouet réglementaires sans pourtant l"admonester. Puis quand elle le commet pour la troisième fois, qu"il la vende même contre un bout de corde de poils de chèvre».

Abu Hurairah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported: A man who had drunk wine was brought to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and he asked us to beat him; some struck him with their hands, some with their garments (making a whip) and some with their sandals. When he (the drunkard) had gone, some of the people said: "May Allah disgrace you!" He (the Prophet (Peace be upon him)) said, "Do not say so. Do not help the devil against him".

Selon lui encore: «On amena au Messager de Dieu (bsdl) quelqu"un qui avait bu du vin. Il dit: «Frappez-le! «Abou Hourayra a dit: «Parmi nous il en est qui le frappa de sa main, d"autres le frappèrent avec leur chaussure et d"autres avec leurs vêtements. Quand l"homme partit, certains dirent à son adresse: «Que Dieu te couvre d"opprobre!» Le Prophète dit: «Ne dites pas de telles choses et n"aidez pas contre lui le Diable». (Rapporté par Al Boukhàrî)
