Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "A dinar you spend in Allah's way, or to free a slave, or as a charity you give to a needy person, or to support your family, the one yielding the greatest reward is that which you spend on your family".

Thauban bin Bujdud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "The most excellent dinar is one that a person spends on his family, and the dinar which he spends on his riding-animal in the way of Allah (in Jihad), and the dinar he spends on his companions in the way of Allah".

Selon Thawbàn Ibn Yohdod, l"affranchi du Messager de Dieu (bsdl), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Le meilleur dinar que dépense l"homme est celui qu"il dépense pour sa famille, celui qu"il dépense pour sa monture consacrée au service de Dieu et celui qu"il dépense pour ses compagnons au service de Dieu». Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: I asked Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), "Would I be rewarded for what I spend on Abu Salamah's sons? For I can't let them go here and there (to beg people)." Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) replied, "Spend on them and you will be rewarded for what you spend on them".

Oummou Salma (das) a dit: «J"ai dit: «O Messager de Dieu! Ai-je un salaire dans ce que je dépense pour les enfants de Abou Salma (ceux qu"elle avait eus de son premier mariage)? Car je n"ai pas l"intention de les laisser se débattre dans la misère alors que ce sont mes propres enfants?» Il dit: «Oui, tu as un salaire pour tout ce que tu dépenses pour eux». (ura)

Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported in a Hadith included in the chapter of Intention, that Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "Whatever you spend seeking thereby the Pleasure of Allah, will have its reward, even the morsel which you put in the mouth of your wife".

Selon Sa"d Abi Waqqàs (das), (dans son long Hadith que nous avons mentionné au début de ce livre dans le chapitre de «l"intention», le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) lui a dit: «Toute dépense que tu feras y cherchant le Visage de Dieu (c"est-à-dire par seul amour de Dieu) tu en recevras le salaire, jusqu"à ce que tu mets (comme manger) dans la bouche de ta femme». Abu Mas'ud Al-Badri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "When someone spends on his family seeking his reward for it from Allah, it is counted as a charity from him".

Selon Abou Mas"ùd Al Badri (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Quand l"homme fait une dépense pour sa famille, y recherchant la satisfaction de Dieu, cela lui est compté comme aumône». (ura)

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "Neglecting one's own dependents is a reason enough for a man to commit a sin".

[Abu Dawud]

The narration in Muslim is: Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "It is enough sin for a person to hold back the due of one whose provision is in his hand".

Selon "Abdallâh Ibn "Amr Al "As (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «II suffit pour l"homme comme péché le fait d"abandonner ceux qui sont à sa charge» (Rapporté par Abou Dawùd et autres) Moslem l"a rapporté dans son recueil authentifié dans ce même sens. Il dit: «II suffit pour l"homme comme péché le fait de refuser leur subsistance à ceux qui dépendent de lui».

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "Two angels descend every morning, and one says: 'O Allah, give him who spends something, in place of what he spends.' The other one says: 'O Allah, give destruction to him who withholds".

Selon Abou Hourayra (das), le Prophète (bsdl) a dit: «II ne se lève pas un seul jour sur l"humanité sans que deux Anges ne descendent du ciel. L"un d"eux dit: «Seigneur Dieu! Remplace sa dépense à celui qui a dépensé!» Et l"autre dit: «Seigneur Dieu! Frappe de perte celui qui s"est montré avare!» (ura)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "The upper hand is better than the lower one (i.e., the spending hand is better than the receiving hand); and begin (charity) with those who are under your care; and the best charity is that which given out of surplus; and he who asks (Allah) to help him abstain from the unlawful and the forbidden, Allah will fulfill his wish; and he who seeks self-sufficiency will be made self-sufficient by Allah".

[Al-Bukhari].

Toujours selon lui, le Prophète (bsdl) a dit: «La main supérieure (celle qui donne) vaut mieux que la main inférieure (celle qui reçoit) et commence (dans tes dépenses) par ta famille. Ta meilleure aumône est celle qui ne laisse pas ta famille dans le besoin. Celui qui ne se rabaisse pas à demander l"aumône. Dieu lui préserve sa fierté et celui qui ne montre pas son besoin, Dieu le met au-dessus du besoin». (Rapporté par Al Boukhâri)
