Hadith 1119 - Bab 200 (Sunnah of the 'Asr Prayer)
Chapter 9 (The Book of Virtues)
'Ali bin Abu Talib (May Allah be pleased with him)reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) used to perform four Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayer, separating them with Taslim (i.e., offering blessings) on the favourite angels who are near Allah's proximity and the Muslims and the believers who come after them.

D"après "Ali Ibn Abi Tàleb (das), le Prophète (bsdl) faisait quatre unités de prière avant le "Asr et il les séparait par la formule de salutation adressée aux Anges rapprochés de Dieu ainsi qu"à ceux qui les suivent parmi les Musulmans et les Croyants. (Rapporté par Attirmidhi)
عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّه عنْهُمَا، عنِ النَّبيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم، قالَ: "رَحِمَ اللَّه امْرَءاً صلَّى قبْلَ العَصْرِ أَرْبعاً".رَوَاه أبو د ود، وَالتِّرمِذِيُّ وقالَ: حديثٌ حَسَنٌ.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "May Allah have mercy on a man who performs four Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayer."

رَوَاه أبُو دَاوُدَ بإسناد صحيح.
